Quickstart — first show in 5 minutes

This page takes you from nothing to a running Timers Studio show in five minutes. At the end, a live countdown is on the player screen, and you have a shareable URL.

What you need

  • A web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, latest two major versions)
  • An email address or a Google account
  • Five minutes

No install, no plugin, no downloads.

Steps

1. Create your account

Go to timers.studio and click Sign up. You can use email and password or Google. A default room is created for you at sign-in — you land directly on the UserDashboard, where that room appears as a card.

2. Open the Studio

From the UserDashboard, click the room card. The URL changes to timers.studio/id/<your-room> and the Studio opens: header with room name on the left, DashboardPanel on the right, empty rundown in the middle.

Tip: bookmark the Studio URL. That is your regie, the page you will open every show day.

3. Create your first timer

In the DashboardPanel, click New timer. A form appears below the rundown. Pick DURATION, type 05:00, add a title (for example Opening keynote), then confirm. The timer shows up in the rundown as stopped.

4. Open the player

In a new browser tab, go to timers.studio/player/<your-room> (same room ID, just change /id/ to /player/). The player loads a black page showing your timer at 05:00. Drag the tab onto your stage display, or use it as an OBS browser source for a livestream.

Back in the Studio, open the Share menu and copy the player URL. Send it to your speaker, your stage operator or the person running OBS. The player is public — no login needed on that side. You can now press Start in the Studio and the same countdown ticks in both tabs, down to the tenth of a second.

Expected result

  • One stopped timer in the Studio rundown
  • One tab open on the player URL showing 05:00
  • A shareable link in your clipboard

Press Start and you are live.
